Monies raised for the Royal Flying Doctor Service through BIGmate sponsorship
BIGmate proudly sponsored the recent Outback Car Trek which travelled from Mildura in Victoria covering four states to Byron Bay on the far North Coast of NSW.
The Outback Car Trek is an annual event that donates the funds it raises each year to The Royal Flying Doctor Service.
To ensure the success and safety of this year’s participants, BIGmate donated 5 dual mode Iridium Satellite devices which provided communication between the organisers and participants even when in remote areas and outside mobile coverage. The devices included a duress button which if activated would alert the organisers immediately of any dangers the participants may have faced.
The units tracked the daily movements and adventures of 5 of the participants, including a vehicle driven by Greg Clay, Account Manager at iseek connect (BIGmate's sister company).
"Family and friends were provided access to the BIGmate tracking system so they could follow the Trek cars on their journey." said Mr Clay.
"This is the Trek’s 26th year and so far they have raised in excess of $22.5 million dollars for The Royal Flying Doctor Service."
